Simon's major breakthrough was 1972's No Secrets. The album spawned several successful singles, including Simon's biggest hit, "You're So Vain". Simon continued to produce sucessful albums though the 70s and early 80s, moving into film scores after she was dropped by her record label in 1985. Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye Lyrics

Carly Simon

(cole porter)
Everytime we say goodbye I die a little
Everytime we say goodbye I wonder why a little
Why the gods above me who must be in the know
Think so little of me, they allow you to go
And when youre near theres such an air of spring about it
I can hear a lark somewhere begin to sing about it
Theres no love song finer but how strange the change from major to
Minor
Everytime we say goodbye
Why the gods above me who must be in the know
Think so little of me, they allow you to go
And when youre near theres such an air of spring about it
I can hear a lark somewhere begin to sing about it
Theres no love song finer but how strange the change from major to
Minor
Everytime we say goodbye, everytime we say goodbye
Everytime we say goodbye, everytime we say goodbye.....
